Dexter is a custom developed, automated data retriever for obtaining criminal records from official government repositories. This process is sometimes referred to as “screen scraping” but Dexter is not attempting to extract all data from the website. Dexter only searches for a record in response to your specific order. To accomplish the data extraction, Dexter does not use artificial intelligence or machine learning. It is specifically programmed to bring you the data you are seeking, real time, from up-to-the-minute court files.
